The REACH initiative developed out of GOSW’s Big Lottery bid ‘A Patchwork of Opportunity’ and Arts Council England South West’s commitment to developing partnership work across the arts and health sectors (www.artscouncil.org.uk). Willis Newson, the Bristol based arts and wellbeing development agency, is facilitating the management of REACH regionally (www.willisnewson.co.uk). Dr Jim O’Brien, Public Health Consultant at NHS South West, is Chair of the REACH regional steering group (www.southwest.nhs.uk). Step Ahead Research is evaluating the regional aspects of the project (www.stepaheadresearch.co.uk).
